For 3Commas users
Moving your DCA bots from 3Commas
3Commas switched off its v1 platform on 11 September 2026. Bitcator reads the settings of your DCA bots and opens them as a draft in the bot builder: safety orders, take profit, stop loss, cooldown, pairs and RSI start conditions. You review everything before anything runs.

What changed
3Commas v1 is switched off
These are 3Commas' own statements, summarized. Check their pages (sources below) for the details of your account.
August 11, 2026
Migration guide published
3Commas published a guide for moving from v1 to v2. It explains where each v1 bot type lives in v2: indicator-based DCA bots stay DCA bots, while TradingView- and API-triggered DCA bots became Signal Bots.
September 11, 2026
v1 deactivated
3Commas states that v1 was deactivated on this date and that all v1 API connections ended. Orders already placed on your exchange stay live but are no longer managed by 3Commas, so manage them on the exchange.
Bots and keys
Nothing moves over automatically
3Commas states that strategies do not transfer to v2 automatically and that API keys do not carry over: you rebuild your bots and reconnect your exchange.
Mobile apps
v1 mobile apps removed
The v1 iOS and Android apps are removed and no longer supported. 3Commas lists v2 mobile apps as planned for later.
Your data
Requesting your data
3Commas points to a data subject access request in the v1 account settings to download your data. Its help pages describe no export of bot settings.

What carries over
Settings that map one to one
The importer reads the field names of the 3Commas bot API. Each setting is imported as it is, converted so the behaviour matches, or listed as not imported with the reason.
| In 3Commas | In Bitcator | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Pairs (USDT_BTC) | Pairs (BTCUSDT) USDT pairs only. Other quote currencies are listed as not imported. | Same |
| Base order size | First order size In USDT. A percent-of-balance size becomes Bitcator's balance-percent sizing. | Same |
| Max safety orders | DCA orders (1 + safety orders) Up to 50 orders per entry. | Same |
| Safety order size and volume scale | Amount of each DCA order Expanded into one amount per order, so you see every order. | Converted |
| Price deviation and step scale | Price step of each DCA order 3Commas measures from the first order's price, Bitcator from the previous fill. The steps are converted so the price levels match. | Converted |
| Take profit and trailing | Take profit % and trailing take profit A target measured from the base order is flagged for review. | Same |
| Stop loss, stop-loss timeout, stop and disable bot | Stop loss %, spike protection, pause after a losing stop Measured from the average entry price. | Same |
| Cooldown (seconds) | Re-entry cooldown (minutes) Rounded up to whole minutes, up to 24 hours. | Converted |
| Long or short, futures leverage | Spot or USDT-M futures, direction, leverage, margin mode Short bots need futures. The importer switches the draft to futures and says so. | Same |
| RSI start condition | RSI entry condition Timeframes from 1 minute to 1 day. | Same |
| Max active deals | Max concurrent trades Bitcator opens one position per pair at a time. | Same |
| Active safety orders, price range filter, start delay, stop after N deals, limit start orders | No equivalent Bitcator sends market orders when a level is reached. Each one is listed at import with the reason. | No equivalent |
| TradingView ratings, QFL and other signal sources | No equivalent Not a start condition in Bitcator. Choose an indicator condition instead. | No equivalent |
Anything uncertain is marked for review in the report, and nothing is guessed silently.
How it works
From 3Commas to a Bitcator draft in three steps
1
Get your bot's settings
Copy the JSON of your bot (or a list of bots) from the 3Commas API, or a CSV with the same column names. No API key is ever entered in Bitcator.
2
Paste or upload it
Bitcator reads it in your browser, converts it and shows what was imported, what needs a look and what has no equivalent.
3
Review in the bot builder
The result opens as a paper-trading draft. Nothing is created or started until you check every step, save and start the bot yourself.
Questions
Before you import
Do you need my 3Commas or exchange API key?
No. The importer only reads bot settings that you paste or upload, in your browser. Keys are never requested, and key-like fields in the input are ignored and not stored. You connect your exchange separately, with your own keys.
Will the imported bot start trading?
No. The import only opens a draft in the bot builder, as a paper bot. You review it, save it through the normal checks and start it yourself.
What happens to positions and orders left on my exchange?
Bitcator does not import positions or orders. According to 3Commas, orders placed by v1 stay on the exchange but are no longer managed, so check and manage them on your exchange.
Is the import free?
Yes. Importing and reviewing a draft is free. The usual plan limits apply when you save the bot, for example the number of pairs and indicator conditions.
